We've got this fabulous book in our workroom- Dior: A New Look, A New Enterprise (1947-57). It's a never ending source of inspiration. But there's one quote in particular that speaks to our souls- describing the Dior boutique in Paris~
The boutique was a seductive jumble of everything guaranteed to captivate the feminine imagination, a cross between the bric-a-brac of dreams and the corner of a boxroom... In apparent disorder... scarves, dressmaker jewellery, jangling ornaments, bags, gloves, scent, 'little' dresses and knitted sweaters for evening as well as daytime wear are displayed.
This is exactly what Swonderful aims to be! We know we're not quite Dior... but we can dream!
