The absolutely beautiful cookbook Martha Goes Green is back in the shop! We're so pleased to have this lovely book back on our shelves, it sold out earlier (twice!) so do get in quick if you're after a copy.
A little bit about MGG~
With a limitless supply of cookbooks on offer these days and celebrity chefs all the rage, it can be often be a little overwhelming trying to find that perfect cookbook gift or new addition to your kitchen library.
Rosie Percival and Ruth Friedlander are two young food authors bringing the simple approach back to cooking. Together with a few talented friends they’ve created an inspiring, lovingly-crafted cookbook filled with mouth-watering recipes and health conscious ideas certain to put the creativity back into your kitchen.
Martha Goes Green contains over fifty of Rosie and Ruth’s favorite vegetarian recipes; from starters and soups to delicious mains, vegan and gluten free dishes, the budding young chefs dispel all myths that cooking sans meat is either limiting or arduous and instead inspire the inner cook in all of us.
Martha Goes Green is independently published in Melbourne, Australia. It’s printed on recycled paper with vegetable based inks and comes packaged in a unique reusable book bag made from fair-trade organic cotton.
It’s yum to go green!

We're so pleased to be seeing the beginnings of spring here in Wellington! We've had a couple of fantastic days so far. Evenings are beginning to get lighter already, we can't wait for spring flowers, cute little lambs and being able to go bare legged (that might still be a while off!)
With spring in mind we have had a bit of a makeover in the shop, we've mixed things up a bit & got a lovely new (to us) cabinet for all our treasures & trinkets. We also invited our lovely friend Sally Shand of Ragdoll illustrations to jazz up one of our walls. She did a fantastic job, we love our new Squirrel friend! Pop in to see all the new spring loveliness for yourself. More photos here.

A while back our beautiful mural was painted over, we don't know by whom, or why! We were sad to see it go, but now we've pretty darn pleased with it's replacement! The new addition took 3 lads just 4 or so hours, to design & paint. Very impressive. They even matched the colours to the lovely little houses installed in our side window. Clever chaps! Yes that is a small Japanese band playing on the street there. They dig the new wall too.
